Since its inception in 2022, the Big Time Hoops All-Star Weekend has become a cornerstone of Maine's basketball calendar. It stands out as the state's only post-season all-star game to feature players from all grades, a distinction from other events that are for seniors only. This commitment to showcasing the best of every class has made it the premier event of its kind, and it holds the distinct honor of being the only all-star game in Maine that Cooper Flagg has played in.
The weekend is a two-day celebration of the game, bringing together over 150 participants for a series of high-energy events. The best part? The event is completely free for all invited players, ensuring that the opportunity to compete is based on skill, not financial status. This is possible because all proceeds from the All-Star Weekend are reinvested into other Big Time Hoops basketball initiatives, ensuring free participation for all of our players. The success of the event fuels our year-round efforts to make a positive impact, from launching free summer camps for top players to partnering with other leading youth basketball organizations. The Big Time Hoops All-Star Weekend is more than just a game; it's a celebration of the sport's past, present, and future in Maine.
The All-Star Weekend is packed with action and competition, including:
