Big Time Preseason Hoops Summit
The Big Time Preseason Hoops Summit is a new tournament designed for high school-aged boys' and girls' community teams looking to secure quality game time just before the official start of the Maine high school basketball season.
Event Structure & Details
- Entry Fee: $300 per team
- When: November 8th and 9th
- Where: Greater Bangor Area
- Who: Open only to community-based teams composed of players eligible for high school basketball (No AAU or club teams allowed).
- Format:
- Guaranteed Games: Every team is guaranteed a minimum of three high-level games.
- Day 1 (November 8): Two games of competitive pool play.
- Day 2 (November 9): Single-elimination tournament to crown the Summit Champion.
The Value of Competition
Our primary goal is to provide players and teams with one last weekend of high-level, intense competition to fine-tune rotations, build team chemistry, and gain crucial court time with their peers. The value of this experience speaks for itself: last year's championship game featured Medomak Valley (who went 18-0 in the subsequent regular season) taking on the eventual Class B Boys State Champion, Caribou.
